Het Zonnetje (The Little Sun) is a small and professional after-school daycare for children aged 4-12 years old. Childcare is more than just taking care of children. It is also good for the children’s development.
Daycare Het Zonnetje offers a happy and safe environment, where children feel good and receive all the opportunities and challenges to develop personally and socially.
They will have the same childcare workers every time and the group is small, so a close bond can develop. Additionally, we want to make sure there is a good fit with your personal situation. A reliable and active daycare!

Information
To give you a clear idea of what we do and what we stand for, we formulated an educational policy plan. This educational plan is available for your perusal at the daycare location. If you have questions about this, you can always send an e-mail to info@kinderopvanghetzonnetje.nl. Of course, you can come to visit anytime!
Group placement
At daycare Het Zonnetje we work with one group. The maximum number of children in this group is 15. For 15 children, two childcare workers will be available.
One childcare worker is allowed to work with 10 children. It is a vertical group with children aged 4-12 years old. We see the after-school daycare as an extension of the family. Because we work with a vertical group, brothers and sisters will be together and children from different age groups can play together. Just like at home.
Childcare benefit
You can apply for childcare benefit at the Belastingdienst (Tax and Custom Administration) at www.belastingdienst.nl or www.toeslagen.nl.
This needs to be done within three months after the childcare has started.

We are closed on the official public holidays that are determined by the government.

After-school daycare het Zonnetje in collaboration with De Vrije Ruimte
After-school daycare Het Zonnetje is planning to offer daycare for children aged 4-12 years old, in collaboration with The Vrije Ruimte at the Stadhouderslaan 15 in The Hague.
The intention is to offer in-house daycare in a space that is in accordance with the regulations and quality requirements in terms of interior, development material and toys.
Children can independently come to the group after school, or they can be picked up by our certified staff. After school, we offer the children a safe playing environment, where they can make their own choices. During holidays we also offer a varied and attractive daycare program, in which every child can come into their own and, above all, have a fun day! The educational goals of Daycare Het Zonnetje will align as much as possible with the views of De Vrije Ruimte. This way we will benefit from the childcare workers of De Vrije Ruimte who will, among other things, use their creativity at the service of the daycare. Children from De Vrije Ruimte will get priority for placement in the daycare group, but children from nearby schools can also make use of our daycare.
Daycare Het Zonnetje is open on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 2.30PM to 6.30PM, and on Wednesdays from 12PM to 6.30PM.
In holiday weeks, Het Zonnetje will be open every workday from 8.30AM.
If there are enough applications, we hope to start after the summer holidays.

Enroll & apply for childcare benefit
Due to childcare benefit, the costs for child daycare can be largely compensated. To be eligible for childcare benefit, several conditions apply.
• You and your partner have a job, take part in training or a course towards a job or take part in a civic integration course.
• You and your partner have the Dutch nationality or a valid residence permit. It is also valid to have the nationality of another EU country, Liechtenstein, Norway, Iceland or Switzerland, as long as you are registered as a resident in the Dutch city in which you live.
